LAHORE - A citizen Wednesday demanded of the provincial government to provide him immediate protection against armed criminals who wanted to occupy his twin plots purchased at Street No-5, in Al-Noor Town Lahore. The victim Sheikh Munir Ahmad, son of a (r) Pakistan Air Force officer Mohammad Hussain, resident of DHA phase-1 Karachi, said that he purchased two plots (No-123 and 124) in the said town on November 11, 2002. And one day when I visited my plots few unknown men started roaming around him. Locals told him that these people are group of a land mafia who under the guidance of Ch Abrar, his brothers and accomplices were involved in many criminal acts. He said the locals told him that suspects wanted to recover these plots who, they said, are owned by a widow. Later, the victim also informed the Moharrar in written application against these suspects at Walton Police Station and demanded protection against land mafia. Sheikh Munir has appealed to CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Inspector General Police to provide protection to his life and property. He has also appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chief Justice of Lahore High Court take suo moto notice against land mafia, who are bent upon depriving him his hard earned property and hurling him life threats.
