LAHORE Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan and Rohan Bopanna of India defeated the all Italian pair of Thomas Fabbianno and Enrico Fioravante in the ATP Challenger Tennis Napoli Cup being played on the red clay courts of Napoli Tennis Club, Viale Dohrn in Naples, Italy. Aisam and partner broke their opponents serve at 2-3 to take a 4-2 lead and then easily won their next two service games to secure the first set with a 6-3 win. In the second set they got break points during the first two service games of their opponents but were unable to convert the break points. However at 3-3 they broke their opponents and went 4-3 up but Rohans serve was broken in the next game and they lost advantage. Later, the score got equal with six games all and in the tie break Aisam and partner got an early break and were 3-0 up at one stage but the opponents won next two points to make it 2-3 and then served well to make it 4-3. Aisam and partner first made it to 5-4 and then went on to win the tie break with a score of 7-5. In all 128 points were played, out of which Aisam and Rohan won 71 points and their opponents won 57. In the quarter final, they will face Blaz Kavcic of Slovakia and Franco Skugor of Croatia.
