BANNU Chairman Kashmir Committee and JUI-F President Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that his party had joined the government after an agreement on certain conditions, but most of the conditions are yet to be fulfilled by the ruling government. We dont want to leave the ruling coalition. The PPP will be responsible if we part way with the government, as it has yet to fulfil most of the conditions of the agreement signed between the PPP and JUI-F before formally joining the government, he said while speaking at Tajdeed-i-Ahad Conference held here on Wednesday. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that his party had always done principled politics, adding at this critical stage the JUI-F was alone competing with secular forces. The JUI-F has defended the Islamic sections of the Constitution bravely. Despite a fact that we have few members in the Parliament, we have done well in this regard. He said that foreign policy of President Musharraf was not acceptable to his party. It was a time to think positively and instead of inviting war, why should work for peace in the whole region, he said adding that the US policy to eliminate terrorism by using force had badly failed against the JUI-Fs stance that negotiations were the best option for brining peace. Today not only the US but also the NATO forces were thinking that to bring peace talks were the best way to bring peace, he remarked and added that for the solution of Afghanistan issue, table talks should be used. He said even the Afghan government was inviting Taliban for talks so that to restore peace in Afghanistan. Maulana Fazl Rehman said that people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Kashmir and Palestine had the right to struggle for the freedom and sovereignty of their motherlands, adding that Pakistan was facing numerous challenges and violence in various parts of the country and it was believed that either the government agencies or nationalist forces were behind such happenings. He maintained that JUI-F was a guaranty for peace in Pakistan and nefarious designs of the forces against the country would be defeated. He added that religious parties would win the next polls as people have eyes on the JUI-F. Beside others, JUI-F provincial Amir Maulana Gul Naseeb and opposition leader in the provincial assembly and ex-chief minister Akram Khan Durrani also spoke on the occasion.
