Taliban commander Ziaur Rehman was killed in a shootout between two rival groups in Orakzai tribal agency, local sources said Thursday. Ziaur Rehman, with an alias of Zeywar Mulla, was wanted in multiple murder cases. He had a head money of 10 million Pakistani rupees. Another six terrorists were also killed in the security forces offensive on late Wednesday night. The gunship choppers targeted militants' compounds at Sherin Dara, Baizot, Kokdara Charo Khel and Mirobak in the Orakzai agency bordering Afghanistan. As many five bunkers were also razed to ground during the shelling. Over the past few days, troops have expanded operations against rebels in Orakzai Agency. The offensive has focused on several areas, including Feroz Khel, Anjani, Mashti, and Zaramela. Over 200 militants have reportedly been killed during the ongoing operation in Orakzai Agency.
