Islamabad - Islamabad police have arrested eight outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered wine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said yesterday. According to details, Noon police arrested an accused Khair Muhammad and recovered one 30-bore illicit pistol along with ammunition from him. Industrial-Area police arrested Muhammad Afzal and recovered one bottle of wine from him. Khanna police apprehended two persons Muhammad Asad and Falak Sher for their alleged involvement in sale of illegal petroleum products. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway. Meanwhile four professional alms-seekers were also arrested and action has been initiated against them. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in the city and curb activities of anti-social elements, the spokesman added.
