ISLAMABAD - Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd defeated Higher Education Commission 3-1 in the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Cup 2016 match played here at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex on Sunday.

While PTV and Bhatti United of Faisalabad played out highly entertaining 0-0 draw in the second match of the day. Rawalpindi/Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) Mohsin Ali was the chief guest on the occasion while Pakistan Sports Board Deputy Director General Agha Amjadullah, Assistant Director Hostels Malik Imtiaz Hussain, security officer Capt (R) Muhammad Ashraf, President Islamabad Football Association Saleem Chaudhry, Secretary Syed Sharafat Hussain Bukhari, information secretary Rawalpindi, Islamabad Sports Journalist Association Rana Tanveer spectators and others were also present on the occasion.

SNGPL defeated HEC 3-1. Shahzad Mehmood scored the first goal for SNGPL in the 5th minute of the first half. Daniyal equalised the match in the 35th minute. SNGPL should blame them not to score more goals despite enjoying lime share of possession, the first half ended with both teams locked at 1-1. It took 9 second half minutes to SNGPL to score the second goal through Sada Bahar and in the dying moments of the match Umer Farooq scored the third goal, which ensured all three points for SNGPL.

PTV failed to break the rock solid defence of Bhatti United Faisalabad in the second match of the day. PTV should have at least scored half a dozen goals in the first half and same was the case in the second, but highly professional departmental PTV team looked hapless when it comes to scoring goals.
