LAHORE - The Punjab Public Health Agency’s PC1 was approval at the 49th Provincial Development Working Party meeting chaired by Jahanzeb Khan, Chairman Planning and Development (P&D) Department.  According to a handout, the PPHA will be consolidating the existing public health functions at the provincial level, bringing together data and expertise while coordinating efforts across sectors. It is expected to create sustainable home for public health expertise in Punjab and serve as the public health hub for promoting partnership between sectors and with institutions nationally, regionally and internationally. As an institute of excellence for advancement of public health, the PPHA is expected to establish itself as the main source of technical and scientific expertise for the Departments of Health and serve as “trusted advisors” on matters pertaining to public health.
