Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Tuesday said Pakistan will seek further strengthening of ties with European Union and Spain in trade and defence fields. Talking to mediamen here at Chaklala air base before leaving for his four day official visit to Spain and Belgium, the Prime Minister said Pakistan enjoys cordial relations with the European countries. He said he will hold talks with the EU and Spanish leadership to promote economic, defence and cultural relations. Gilani recalled that the EU countries assisted Pakistan after the devastating earthquake of 2005 and played prominent role at the forum of Friends of Democratic Pakistan (FODP). He said during high level talks with the EU leadership, Pakistan will seek more market access for its products.
