LAHORE PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has laid stress on result-oriented composite dialogue between India and Pakistan on all issues including Kashmir and Water. Talking to Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabrawal at his Raiwind residence here Monday, Nawaz said that good neighbourly ties between India and Pakistan were the need of the hour and for that resolution of all issues between them was a must. He said that Pakistan desired good neighbourly relations with India based on peaceful co-existence and tolerance. He said notwithstanding the fact Pakistan itself was a worst victim of terrorism at present, it was continuing efforts for peace in the region and was playing an active role in that course, which speaks volumes about its love and aspiration for peace. He said for a lasting peace in the region both the countries would have to jointly make efforts, adding that Pakistan was fully committed to purge the region of the scourge of terrorism and extremism. Nawaz was confident that Pakistani nation was fighting terrorism with a complete resolve and perseverance to defeat it. He also told the IHC that the people of Pakistan and India were tied with neighbourly bonds and wanted their respective governments to hold dialogue to resolve disputed matters between them. It was also for the leadership on both sides to hold dialogue on all outstanding issues fulfilling their responsibilities towards establishing durable peace, he added. The PML-N Quaid also laid stress on mutual respect to the sovereignty and national prestige of each other. The Indian High Commissioner during the talk appreciated the PML-N Quaids efforts for peace between the two countries, and expressed the hope he would continue the same to achieve the objective. Online adds: Nawaz linked peace and stability in the region with good ties with India, saying resumption of composite dialogue between India and Pakistan is the need of hour in the longer interest of both the countries.
