Sindh Building Control Authority has decided to take severe action against illegal constructions on spaces specified for car parking in residential and commercial projects. In this regard, a drive will begin from District South of the city. According to details, upon instructions of Chief Executive SBCA Manzoor Qadir, all section directors have been ordered that within seven days they should complete survey of all ongoing or under completion private public sale projects including previously constructed buildings with parking in their area and present complete report of such buildings or projects where space specified for car/motorcycle parking is being illegally constructed upon for other purposes.

After a meeting of SBCA high officials with the Commissioner Karachi, it has been agreed that this drive will begin from the city’s business hub and areas most heavily affected by traffic. During this drive a large scale operation will be conducted for the restoration of car parking space as per approved building plan. It is clear that SBCA has been constantly warning the general public in their own interest that they should avoid investment in illegal constructions.
