ISLAMABAD : The co-coordinator of the government dialogue committee Irfan Siddiqui called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Friday and briefed him on the status of the talks. They discussed all the matters related to on-going peace efforts. According to sources, the PM said that we are still open to the dialogue process with those who would lay down their arms. He said dialogue was the first option for the government and the military leadership, but no-one should have any misunderstanding about the capability of the Armed Forces, sources said.

He said that the Taliban must announce ceasefire and lay down their arms if they want dialogue process to progress.
