KHYBER AGENCY - Three men of banned outfit Laskar-e-Islam (LI) were killed and five others including two troops sustained injuries in a clash between forces and LI miltants here in Shalober area of tehsil Bara, a sub-division of Khyber Agency, official sources said on Friday.

Sources said the armed persons of LI after returning from rural area of Peshawar at 1:00 am were on their way to their destination when they had to confront the forces. In the clash, three LI militants were killed and three others who had received bullet wounds were detained by the forces and shifted to their base camp, sources added.

Two soldiers also sustained injuries in the clash, sources said. The deceased were identified as commander Abdul Wali of Shalober, Mir Akbar and Ghufran, said sources. The dead bodies were shifted to Levies Centre Shahkas from where these will be handed over to political administration, sources said.
