The price of electricity is going to go up again; it is umpteenth time a raise is on the cards. After the Prime Minister came on TV and announced that there would be no increase, this seems atrocious. The supply is short as usual, meters are running on fast forward mode, bills are unreasonably inflated and the common man is finding it difficult to survive. Indirect taxes are taking their toll, forcing people to migrate to other countries or commit suicide. This reminds me of the golden words of the former US president Ronald Reagan who said Government is like a baby, an alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other. Our government seems to be a glutton’s baby with no sense of responsibility.
