DHAKA:-

Former Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashraful will be eligible to return to competitive cricket in 2016 after an appeal panel on Monday reduced an eight year ban for match-fixing to five years with two suspended. The BCB disciplinary panel hearing decided to set aside the original sanction and replace it with a five-year ban starting from August 2013. The suspension of the last two years is subject to the 30-year-old player's participation in an anti-corruption education and training programme of BCB and ICC.–Reuters
