The admissions in MS, MSc (Hons), MPhil and PhD are open in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the admissions will remain open till August 6 for the fall semester 2013.

According to IUB’s Advanced Studies and Research Board Director Dr Mehmood Ahmed, admissions are offered for 21 disciplines of PhD and 12 for MPhil in the university this year. He said that admissions in 7 departments for Ph/D and 11 departments for MPhil would be opened under the Distance Education System.

After 16 years education in Management Science, the admissions for the MS classes in Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Technology, MBA, Computer Science, Management Science, Information Technology and Software Engineering are open while admissions to the Computer Science, Information Technology and Software Engineering will also be made under the Distance Education System.

The admissions for the MPhil classes will be held under this programme in the departments of Arabic, Applied Psychology, Business Finance (Commerce), Bio-Chemistry, English (Language), Education, Media Studies, Pakistan Studies, Political Science, Persian, Saraiki and Statistics.

The admissions for PhD in Agronomy, Applied Psychology, Arabic, Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Education, Educational Training, Forestry, Information Technology, Media Studies, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Political Science, Physics, Persian, Pakistan Studies, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Soil Sciences and Wildlife Management will be held during this session for which interested scholars can apply till Aug.6. The admissions to M.Sc (Hons) in Agronomy, Entomology, Forestry, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Soil Sciences and Wildlife Management will be held during this programme.

Duly filled/completed downloaded application forms for admissions from the website www.iub.edu.pk  should be reached/deposited in the office of the,  Director, Advanced Studies and Research Board, Abbasia Campus, Islamia University along with the attested documents and admission fee receipt. The GAT Test will be held at the Baghdad-ul-Jadid Campus, Islamia University of Bahawalpur on Aug.17, 2013 followed by the interviews in the respective departments of the university on the same day.
