ISLAMABAD - Farhan Zaman goes down fighting against the Egyptian second seed Karim Ali Fathi in the semifinals of the Riedbulit Homes Edmonton Open 2013, as he lost the match 3-1 on Sunday. The championship is currently underway in Canada, with a cash purse of $15,000 on offer.

While talking to The Nation from Canada Farhan said: “I tried very hard to put up a decent fight against my much experienced opponent. Though I lost 3-1 but I gave a real fight to Karim. It was a great learning experience for me. I would depart to Florida where I would spent another 25 days before returning to Pakistan. I would try to come back as soon as possible and will send my entry for the Chief of Naval Staff Squash Championship, which would start this month in Karachi which carries a purse of $ 15,000.

I am in a great shape after playing in PSA events and I am quite confident that experience would help me a to perform well in the CNS event.”
