ISLAMABAD - Leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafar-ul-Haq has said that Kashmiri nation could not be divided by constructing the wall on Line of Control.

Expressing his views on the occasion of Azad Kashmir's workers' convention in Islamabad Sunday‚ he said that PML-N has a longstanding stance about the Line of Control and integration of Kashmir.

He said that it was military dictator Pervez Musharraf who had compromised on unity of Kashmir and allowed India to build fence along LoC. Earlier in the convention‚ Raja Zafar-ul-Haq said that Musharraf also did six verbal agreements with United States on telephone including drones‚ which worsened the circumstances in Afghanistan.

He also said that Pakistan is the most affected country due to the mayhem in Afghanistan. Criticizing Indian policies on Kashmir‚ he said that judges of Indian higher judiciary hanged Afzal Guru just to please their people.

He‚ however‚ said that it is encouraging that today a lobby in India is actively raising voice for the resolution of Kashmir issue. He stressed India for resumption of dialogue with Pakistan and Kashmiri leadership. He said that PML-N in the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is committed with Kashmir cause. He said that the Prime Minister also raised Kashmir issue in United Nations General Assembly this year and called upon world leadership to play a role as mediator. He urged Kashmiris to revamp their freedom movement and present their case before the world as a continuous campaign.

Addressing the august gathering‚ President PML-N Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider said corruption has destroyed the social structure of Azad Kashmir and people are thriving for development.

Former President Azad Kashmir Sardar Sikandar Hayat urged PML-N party workers to work hard to bring change‚ mere slogans will not work.

Earlier, former PPP worker Malik Muhammad Yusuf from district Kotli unconditionally announced to join PML-N.
