KARACHI - Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader Waseem Akhter hit back at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Dr Sheerin Mazari on her statement.

In a statement here on Sunday, MQM leader said that PTI should inform the nation what were the facts those which have stopped PTI leadership to stage hunger- strike for an indefinite period outside US Consulates against the aerial strikes and halting of NATO supplies.

He said that the PTI Chief Imran Khan had been patronizing “Taliban” those have extended threats to MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and its party.

Waseem further said that PTI leadership should make clear that why they have not condemned the terrorist activities of Taliban against the country.

He said that PTI was staging a drama by protesting against the killing of Afghans in drone strikes.

“PTI was misleading the masses by halting the NATO supplies, their protest demos were only hurting the poor drivers economically. Such drams would not trouble US,” he added.

Earlier, MQM chief Altaf Hussain in his speech on launching ceremony of his book ‘ Philosophy of Love’ lashed out PTI and Jammat-e-Islami (JI) chief for doing politics in the name of drones attacks and pronouncing terrorist martyrs.

In his speech, he further said that the political parties who were staging protest demos for the closure of NATO supply line should stop misguiding innocent people.

“Religious parties which do politics in the name of Islam have hurt people badly. They had enticed thousands of young Muslim youth to fight Russians. They did so to please Americans. Now they are getting people in name of anti-American campaigns”, he said.
