ISLAMABAD - Chairman Pakistan Ulema-o-Mashaaikh Council, Allama Zubair Abid on Sunday demanded of the government to reorganise Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) and peace-loving people should be included in it.

He was addressing a Press conference here at the National Press Club after expressing grief over the Rawalpindi incident with Maulana Amanullah and others. Allama Zubair Abid condemned the Rawalpindi tragedy.  "Real peace can only be achieved by implementing Islamic laws throughout the country," he added.

Allama urged heads of all sects to join hands to help government in formulating legislation for elimination of ongoing terrorism, extremism, sectarianism and bloodshed from the country.

"All those black sheep from every sect should be kicked out who don't want unity of Ummah," he stated.

Allama Zubair Abid maintained that declaring any Islamic sect as banned (Haram) or murderable is strictly prohibited and forbidden in Islam. He also demanded immediate ban on use of loudspeakers and cassettes, speeches and books containing hate material. Chairman Pakistan Ulema-o-Mashaaikh Council said that the council would oppose any amendment or efforts to end Blasphemy Law.
