CAPE TOWN - JP Duminy, regarded as one of South Africa's key players for the Cricket World Cup in February, returns to action after injury in a Twenty20 international series against the West Indies next month. Duminy has not played since November 9 when he returned home early from a limited overs tour of Australia because of a long-term knee injury which required rest.

Duminy's middle order batting and off-spin bowling were sorely missed as South Africa were beaten 4-1 by Australia in a one-day international series. Also returning from injury is left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso. Veteran Morne van Wyk returns as a wicketkeeper-batsman in place of the injured Quinton de Kock.

Several senior players, including Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel, were not included.
