LAHORE - The PTI Punjab chapter leaders have alleged that so far findings of the election tribunal for poll rigging in NA-122 are not moving in the right direction and news men are playing in the hands of the ruling party while reporting on this matter.

PTI provincial leaders, Ijaz Chaudhary, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Saloni Bokhari and Sheahzead Malik made these allegations while addressing a press conference at the start of 2015 at party’s provincial secretariat on Thursday.

However, followers of Imran Khan like their commander have no evidence to support their allegations and they avoided reply to reporters’ queries concerning their allegations.

The tone of the PTI leaders in the press conference hinted at the strong possibilities that they would not accept the election tribunal’s findings if it would fail to come up with findings in favour of Imran Khan.

They only repeated the old fact and figures regarding the alleged rigging in NA-122, which they or their other leaders had already claimed several times.

The PTI provincial leaders had no solid answer to confront the queries regarding the possibilities of re-launch of the protest drive keeping in view the fate of Azadi March launched from provincial capital on August 14, 2014.

They said that party chairman has announced to hold a workers’ convention in Islamabad on January 18 in which he would give certificates to the party workers who played extra-ordinary role during the Azadi drive and detained for their role, besides announcing party’s next line of action.

PTI leaders also demanded of the government for withdrawing five per cent GST on petroleum products and for reducing the tariff of electricity and gas instead of increasing.
