Islamabad - Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, said on Thursday that month of Rabi-ul-Awwal was the perfect time for all the Muslims to renew their pledges to follow the teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH) to live a healthy life.

He was addressing `All Pakistan Annual Naat Competition’ arranged at Pakistan Broadcast Corporation (PBC) in which participants from across the country participated.

The minister said the sacred month reminded all the Muslims that Allah Almighty sent Holy Prophet (PBUH) to guide all the humanity and spread the message of love, peace and brotherhood. He urged the people to act upon the golden principles of life propagated by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to become good Muslims.

He suggested that the provincial governments must arrange such Naat competitions at provincial and regional level in their respective languages. He said the ministry would also arrange such programmes in the future and announced Rs 5,000 each for all the participants of the competition.
