LAHORE - The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected petitions of two PML-N MNAs and a MPA seeking transfer of their election petitions from one election tribunal to another tribunal.

A division bench comprising Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry heard the petitions at SC Lahore Registry on Thursday.

PML-N MNAs Malik Riaz and Saifur Rehman and MPA Mohsin Latif had filed petition saying the election tribunal judge Kazim Malik was issuing interim orders without hearing their viewpoint in rigged matters.

They submitted that election tribunal was not meeting the end of justice and their cases might be transferred to another election tribunal.

After hearing the arguments of petitioners, the bench observed that the superior courts could not interfere in interim orders of the tribunals and only final orders could be challenged before the superior courts. The bench dismissed their petitions.
