Rawalpindi - The speakers at a seminar titled “Kashmir Issue in the United Nations” on Thursday urged the world community to pressure India for implementation of the UN resolutions for the rights of Kashmiris who demand right to self-determination.

The speakers also asked the UN to play its due role for resolution of Kashmir issue. The seminar was organised by Tehreek-e-Jawanan-e-Pakistan (TJP) here at its central secretariat which was attended and addressed by TJP Chairman Abdullah Gull and others.

Addressing on the occasion, Abdullah Gull said that India first took the core issue of Kashmir in UN in 1948 but when UN passed resolution of self-determination of Kashmiris then India started showing her traditional rudeness and used brutal force in Kashmir to press the voice of freedom raised by Kashmiris.

He said that tens of thousands of people migrated from Kashmir. “Implementation of UN resolution to solve Kashmir issue has become the voice of the day. The international comity should press India to follow UN resolution to give the right to self-determination to Kashmiris,” Gull said.
