A judge’s protocol on Monday apprehended renowned activist and independent candidate for forthcoming general elections from NA-247 and PS-111, Jibran Nasir after severely thrashing him in the metropolis.

In a video circulating on social media, the activist can be heard saying, “My name is Muhammad Jibran Nasir and a judge’s protocol was taking him after beating and tearing his clothes.”

He is further heard saying: “The judge’s protocol pushed my car to the corner and hit me with a chamber of the gun when I stopped them.”

“I have gotten beaten up by a judge protocol and my clothes have been torn only because they pushed my car next to a footpath and when I stopped the car a common man like me was beaten with a chamber,” he stated before the video came to an abrupt end.

Jibran Nasir is contesting as an independent candidate for the National Assembly constituency NA-247 (previously NA-250) and provincial assembly constituency PS-11 (previously PS-113) from Karachi in the upcoming general election.

The activist had revealed that he would not be joining any political party but will form his own party, where like-minded people representing religious, ethnic, economic and gender groups and other fields will be included.
