BUREWALA- The lambardar of a village alleged sold out 12-acre state land at Chak 327/EB while the villagers have demanded his removal and retrieval of the land.

Muhammad Arshad, a resident of the village, in a complaint to District Collector Jawad Akram, alleged that Muhammad Hussain Lambardar had sold out the land for establishment of a residential colony.  The applicant along with other villagers including Sultan, Tufail, Javed, Khalid, Ashfaq, Yaseen, Amin and Ashiq Ali told the media at Press Club Burewala that in 2004, the additional director anti-corruption of Multan region had ordered the registration of a case against the lambardar for selling a four-acre piece of land.

They alleged that he was influential and the inquires launched against him were still pending. They demanded his early removal from the post.
