OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Chief Executive Officer, International Islamic Charity Organization, Abdul Salam Alsharif called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday and apprised him of the activities of the organization. The visiting guest told the chief minister that Islamic Charity Organization was formed in 1996 and was working in different countries. He said that the organization took part in relief activities during flood last year and now wanted to construct two villages for affectees in Muzaffargarh for which land should be provided. The CM highly appreciated the spirit of the charity organization regarding construction of villages for the flood affectees and said that land will immediately be provided for the purpose in Muzaffargarh. He said that Punjab government had also constructed 22 model villages in the flood-hit areas where hospitals, schools, parks, solar energy and other modern amenities had been provided. He directed authorities concerned to immediately provide land to the organization in Muzaffargarh area for the construction of the villages.
