KASUR-The CIA Police claimed to have arrested 10 criminals wanted in heinous crime of robbery and abduction for ransom, during search operations conducted under National Action Plan here the other day.

The police also recovered illegal weapons from their possession.

According to police, a CIA police team headed by Inspector Riaz Abbas conducted a combing operation in Kot Halim Khan, Kot Radha Kishan, Mithra Das and Pattoki. During the search, the police searched 28 houses while 66 villagers were interrogated. The police also arrested 10 criminals including three proclaimed offenders - Ataullah Khan, Naveed alias Needi and Siddique - and recovered six pistols, two rifles, two pump-actions, one gun and large number of bullets and cartridges from their possession. The police have registered cases against the accused.

On the other hand, the Chunian Police recovered 1.3kg of hashish from the accused Sajjad in Ghalla Mandi area and registered a case against him.


Dacoits took away cash, cellphones and other valuables in different incidents of robbery here the other day. According to police, unidentified robbers snatched Rs240,000 and two cellphones from Haji Liaquat Ali, Rs90,000 from Haji Yousaf, Rs35,000 and two cellphones from Sharafat Ali, Rs32,000 and an ATM card from Babar Ali in Daftoh Village. Similarly in Pial Kalan, robber snatched a cellphone from Saqib and runaway.
