KARACHI: Three-day Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW) that was ongoing in Karachi ended gracefully on Tuesday.

Designer Rozina Munib chose to have the gang rape survivor and women’s rights spokesperson Mukhtaran Mai as a showstopper for her to give a message of valour and bravery to the women facing adverse situations.

A symbol of hope for the neglected victims of violence, Mukhtaran said she was at the show to spread awareness about women’s struggles, those shunned by the society as well as their families.

On the last day, designers dedicated their collections to the courage and resilience of women during hard times.

In the winter festive collection, more wedding wears were presented instead of the formal attires which were committed with the unique and objective approach of the designers.

Designer Nauman Arfeen spread the message of peace through his child stars who walked the runway wearing his collection.

Various artists including Faisal Qureshi, Mohsin Abbas, Sarwat Gillani and Mawra Hocane stepped on the runway as showstoppers for the designers.

Ali Sethi’s musical performance also adorned the Pakistan Fashion Week in its own distinctive way.
