ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s rising tennis star Huzaifa Abdul Rehman earned another distinction when he secured a place in top eight players of Asia in 14 & under age category and qualified to represent Asia in the forthcoming Asian Tennis Federation, Masters Series Asian 14 & Under. 

The Masters Championship will be held during 24-26 November, at Astana, Kazakhstan, a statement said on Wednesday.

Huzaifa stands at 3rd position in the top eight players selected from Asia, two players from Uzbekistan, one each from Pakistan, Malaysia, Philippines, Lebanon, Jordan and Kazakhstan, are selected.

Recent performance of Huzaifa who is current Pakistan number 1 speaks for itself that he is one of the most talented player in this age group in the country: Runners up in two tournaments (14 and under Division 2) in Bangkok in January, 2016; winner in ATF under 14 Islamabad, March 2016.  Winner in two ATF tournaments in Tehran, August 2016, and was winner in ATF tournament in Colombo, in October 2016.

Salim Saifullah Khan, President of Pakistan Tennis Federation and the senior management of PTF congratulated Huzaifa Abdul Rehman and his family for this remarkable achievement.  

It is pertinent to mansion that Pakistan Tennis Federation organised two back to back 14 & under Asian Super Series ranking events in the month of March in Islamabad and also intends to hold them next year as well.
