MANDI BAHAUDDIN-DPO Faisal Mukhtar held a meeting with police officers at his office and reviewed the performance of each police station.

He said there was dire need to expedite completion of investigation of the cases. The pending theft cases be completed with recovery of stolen property, he directed. “To curb crime, patrolling be intensified. Proclaimed offenders are arrested with those harboring them. No complaint against police officials for misbehaving with citizens and not providing relief to complainants would be tolerated,” he said.

He asked SHOs to treat every citizen visiting police station with honour. He said it was legal and moral responsibility of police to do justice by investigating cases with honesty and in transparent manner. He warned that anyone found misusing authority would be punished under the law. He also directed the participants to launch crakedown on culprits dealing in drugs and gambling, keep check on kite-flying and aerial firing and register case against violators. Hardened and habitual criminals and their facilitators be kept under watch for their anti-social activities, he said. He addded main responsibility of police was to give protection to life and property of citizens.
