AHMEDPUR EAST-The participation of millions of people in PTI’s public meetings in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces shows its Chief Imran Khan’s rising popularity and their support against corruption, a party leader said.

He was talking to former deputy speaker Punjab Assembly Sahibzada Usman Abbasi and ex-MPA Sahibzada Gazain Abbasi at their residence in Dera Nawab Sahib, former leader of opposition in District Council Bahawlpur Sahibzada Muhammad Umar Khan Abbasi and Sahibzada Muhammad Shahzain Abbasi were also present.

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf South Punjab President Ishaq Khakwani further alleged that PML-N government has neglected South Punjab during last thirty five years, rulers presented fake data of so-called mega projects but lion’s share of announced funds was spent on Orange Line and Metro Bus projects.

He further alleged that in Punjab province, political interference in police and other govt departments was rising day by day, Sharifs used police to victimise their political opponents. On the other hand, he said, PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allowed police functionaries to work independently without any pressure. Similarly health reforms in KP have yielded positive results, he said.

He said that in upcoming election, PTI will field strong candidates in all national and provincial assembly constituencies of Punjab province. He criticised PML-N ministers, and said they have always attacked the national institutions which were the main reason of their downfall.

The era of corrupt rulers ended and positive changes had already started setting in, he said. He added that people were keeping a vigilant eye on NAB role and if the new chairman also adopted the attitude of his predecessors, the masses would besiege the corrupt mafia and nobody would be able to stop the revolution.

Ishaq Khakwani lashed out at the PML-N govt for taking huge loans during last four years and questioned where they spent the same. He demanded the immediate resignation form Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

Earlier, he discussed prevailing political situation with Abbasides and visited the site of Imran Khan public meeting in Dhorkot where he will address on 2nd November.

Meanwhile, the PTI took out a big rally from Shalimar town under the leadership of Ex-MNA Arif Aziz Sheikh and Ex-MPA Sahibzada Muhammad Gazain Abbasi to welcome Imran Khan’s arrival for public meeting today.

The rally marched at Kutchery Road and Dera Nawab Road and culminated at Chowk Abbasia. PTI activists chanted slogans in favour of Imran Khan and vowed to continue their struggle under his leadership. Hundreds of motorcycles, tractors and motors also participated in it.
