ISLAMABAD  – Islamabad Police on Saturday impounded 30 vehicles and 130 motorbikes during general hold up in the city and black papers were also removed from windows of 30 vehicles, a police spokesman said.

According to details, general hold up was conducted in the city on the special directions of SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq after establishing of various halting points. During this checking, 30 vehicles and 130 motorbikes being driven without documents were impounded while black papers were also removed from 30 vehicles.

The IGP Bani Amin has said that purpose of starting search exercise in various areas is to ensure foolproof security in the Capital. He has also directed the anti-car lifting cell to maintain special vigilance and conduct time-to-time checking to curb car-lifting crime. 

Bani Amin Khan has directed all police officials to enhance patrolling in their respective areas and use all resources in this regard to curb activities of anti-social elements.

IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have directed all police officials to expand this search operation in other areas of city and asked to ensure strict monitoring and vigilance of suspected elements.
