LAKKI MARWAT – Executive District Officer (Education) Haji Meer Azam has ordered disciplinary action against a class IV employee of a girls school after he was found absent from duty.

All government-run schools in the district opened on Saturday after summer vacations. EDO and other officials of Education Department made an inspection visit to several schools to check attendance of teachers and other officials. The executive district officer was astonished to see that government girl’s primary school Ahmadabad was locked and female teachers and students of were sitting outside the school waiting for class four employee to come and open the school for them.

He expressed his displeasure over the situation and ordered quarters concerned to initiate disciplinary action against the absent employee. He also paid surprise inspection visits to schools in Lakki city, Manjiwala, Marmandi Azeem and other localities and checked the attendance of teaching and non-teaching staff.

He directed the schools’ administrators to ensure presence of teachers and improve learning environment in their respective institutions. He told that the teachers should focus on teaching activities and impart quality education to students.

The EDO asked the teachers to avoid availing unnecessary leaves and keep themselves far from indulging into the ugly practices of truancy.
