KARACHI - Academic activities in all government educational institutions across Sindh re-started on Saturday after summer vacations.

All the government schools and colleges closed in July were reopened on September 1, however presence of students and staff remained minimum on first day after summer vacations.

Secretary Education Mukhtar Soomro said that earlier the department had decided to close educational institutions till mid of August but it had to extend the summer vacations due to Eid and Ramazan-ul-Mubarik.

He urged the teaching staff to ensure their presence and also bound the students to attend schools so that the academic activities would become regular.
