TOBA TEK SINGH - Scores of people belonged to Oadh Rajput tribes from all over the Punjab held a convention here at Pirmahal the other day.

While addressing the participants, All Pakistan Oadh Rajput Tribes Welfare Association Central President Muhammad Mansha said that the men, women and children of the Oadhs had great contribution in the development of the country. They worked hard by throwing and crushing stones on under construction roads and buildings but majority of them were still landless and homeless.

"During the last 65 years, the politicians have been get votes from Oadhs for their rule but did nothing for their welfare and prosperity," he pointed out.

Mansha urged the participants to get their children educated for getting due status in the society.

Meanwhile, Amanullah of Jhang, Abdul Sattar Anjum of Joharabad, Mufti Binyameen of Gujranwala, Haji Muhammad Yasin of Khanewal, Juma Khan of Toba, Muhammad Dawood of Okara and Mansha Ali of Sheikhupura and others also addressed the convention.

Earlier, on arrival of the leaders, hundreds of Oadhs brought them in a big procession, consisting of hundreds of vehicles from Rajana to Pirmahal's Plot-B locality where the convention was held. It is to be mentioned that almost all the residents of Plot-B and C localities at Pirmahal belonged to Oadh tribes.
