LAHORE- Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while strongly condemning the attack by PTI and PAT protesters on PTV building in Islamabad on Monday has expressed shock over the incident of violence against staff and ransacking.

The Chief Minister said that the nefarious designs of those attacking PTV building and other State institutions through protesters armed with sticks, hatchets, bulldozers and cranes have been exposed.

He said that the attack on State institutions which are symbol of security and national solidarity is attack on Pakistan and the nation will hold accountable Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri for attack on the State institutions.

The Chief Minister said that those playing with the destiny of the country are being exposed in present situation and entire nation knows that these elements are bent upon causing loss to the country and the nation under the garb of protests.

Talking to a delegation of PML-N, Shahbaz Sharif lamented that such a time was selected for these subversive activities when the brave forces of the country are fighting war for survival of the country against terrorists in South Waziristan.

The Chief Minister said that efforts are being made to engage police by creating law and order situation in Islamabad and other cities so that police could not take action against the patrons and supporters of terrorists.

The Chief Minister said that the so-called champions of the Constitution and the democracy have been exposed before the nation due to the attack on public buildings.

He said that enemies of development and stability of Pakistan want to destroy peace of the country.

He said that the loss of billions of rupees is being caused to the country in the lust of power through unconstitutional methods. Every Pakistani is surprised how protesters dared to enter the PTV building, he added.
