SRINAGAR (AFP) - Four freedom-fighters and an Indian soldier were killed in a gunbattle in Occupied Kashmir Sunday. The fighting erupted late Saturday when a group of heavily armed fighters was spotted and ordered to surrender. They instead opened fire, Indian army spokesman JS Brar told AFP. Soldiers in the Bungus valley, about 100 kilometres north of Srinagar, were chasing down the surviving fighters, Brar said. The clash came a day after Mujahideen shot dead two policemen minutes apart in Srinagar, ending a lull in violence.
