KARACHI – Eighty Shias were martyred in terrorist and targeted attacks across Pakistan this November, says a Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen report. The report details that 28 Shia Muslims were martyred in Sindh province, among them 26 were killed in targeted attacks in Karachi and two were martyred in an attack on an Ashura procession in Khairpur district.In the Punjab, the report says, 27 Shias were martyred. Of these 27 people, 23 were martyred in a grenades and suicide attack on a Muharram mourning procession in Rawalpindi, while four Shias were martyred in Sargodha district.In Balochistan province, 14 Shia Muslims were martyred. Of them, nine were attacked in Quetta, four in Mach and one in Hub city.According to the report, 11 Shias were martyred in Khyber-Pakhtukhwa province. Of these 11 people, 10 were martyred in two separate attacks on 9th Muharram and Ashura processions in Dera Ismail Khan. Remote-controlled roadside bombs were concealed in a heap of garbage that hit the Moharram procession.Such an alarming number of killings in a single month show the government’s inability to arrest terrorists involved in the genocide of Shia Muslims in the country.
