LAHORE - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has chalked out a plan to keep players under severe vigilance to avoid any controversy during the Pakistan team's tour to India, it has been learnt.

The Pakistani security team comprising of PCB Media Manager Nadeem Sarwar, Security & Vigilance Director Ehsan Sadiq, International Cricket (Operations) Manager Usman Wahla and other ministry officials have reached India to assess the arrangements and security measures for the Pakistan team's tour. The team members visited the first venue, Kolkata and will also visit Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Ahmedabad during their 12-day trip, the source revealed.

The Pakistan Cricket Board set to put restrictions on attending private dinners and parties while no player will also be allowed to entertain any friends or fans at the team hotel.

"There are certain security protocols that we have taken. The players won't entertain any requests from friends or fans to attend private dinner or parties and can't entertain any guests in their hotel rooms," a source revealed on Sunday. Not entertaining guests in hotel rooms rule was also followed during the recently-concluded World Twenty20 Cup held in Sri Lanka about dinner parties. If any function by the Government of India or Pakistan High Commission, then the team and management will attend those functions, the source stated.

The trip is so short that the players would like to stay in the hotel after the end of the match or a training session is over," the source revealed. Around 50 high-profile VIPs including parliamentarians, actors, singers and industrialists will also attend the matches as PCB's guests, the source revealed.

This is a new start and the Pakistan Cricket Board is hopeful that both countries will be able to write a memorable chapter for Pakistan-India cricketing history.

The PCB security team will also discuss about the security of Pakistani fans with the concerned police authorities and the BCCI whether there can be a provision for having a police beat near the designated fans' hotel so that they can go and get their security check done in each of the cities," the source claimed.
