RAWALPINDI  – Ukraine’s (Kyiv) Regional Chamber of Commerce has signed a mutual, bilateral cooperation accord with Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce.

The event of signing of MoU was held at the embassy of Ukraine, where president of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce Manzar Khursheed Sheikh and the Ukrainian ambassador Volodymyr Lakomov signed the accord. The Ukrainian ambassador termed Pakistan as a peace-loving country, with which Ukraine wanted an active and close trade with Pakistan, at all possible levels and sectors.

The Ukrainian ambassador also ensured that his embassy would provide Pakistan with all possible assistance of trade-related facilities; while he also stressed on country-level exhibitions as an important source of encouraging mutual trade.

Speaking on the occasion, president Manzar Khursheed Sheikh said that Rawalpindi Chamber was in forefront of all possible forums, encouraging investment in Country. He cited such Pakistani products as textile, poultry, marble, gems, jewelry for Ukrainian market, while he also highlighted the effects of global recession in Pakistan as well.  He said that GDP growth of Pakistan was increasing, and which was a positive sign of progress.

“ Pakistan is an excellent place for investments, and as such I invite honorary guest to consider investing here”, he suggested.

Exchange of trade/economic delegations between two countries was also stressed.
