SUKKUR  - Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Khursheed Shah has said that the Supreme Court should review its verdict on the delimitation of constituencies in Karachi.Speaking to media after inauguration of a new block at Ghulam Muhammad Mehar Medical Teaching Hospital here Sunday, Khursheed Shah said delimitation should be carried out all over the country; doing so only in Karachi would be unjust.The federal minister said the PPP would not move apex court over the decision of Lahore High Court (LHC) to build Kalabagh Dam. He said that it is not the judiciary but the parliament and government’s job to decide the matter.The LHC verdict over Kalabagh Dam has drawn stern reaction from the ruling PPP, which has a strong vote bank in interior Sindh. This issue can potentially broaden the rift between the ruling party and judiciary.Speaking in Quetta on Saturday, Election Commission of Pakistan Additional Secretary Muhammad Afzal Khan has said that the commission will implement the Supreme Court’s order in letter and spirit regarding delimitation of constituencies in Karachi.Afzal Khan said that this is for the first time in the country’s history that the independent EC has been formed, adding that the decisions taken by the commission also reflected impartiality.He expressed the hope that the next general elections would also be historic.
