QUETTA - One security official was killed and three other people were wounded in landmine and bomb blasts in Dera Murad Jamali and Kalat on Sunday.According to sources, one security man was killed in a landmine blast in Dera Murad Jamali tehsil of Naseerabad district, some 400kms from Quetta. When contacted, an official of Chattar police said that unidentified people had laid a landmine in the Katro area, which exploded when a security man, identified as Sher Muhammad, stepped on it. As a result, he received injuries and was shifted to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police registered a case and started investigation. In another incident, two persons were injured in a blast in the Babu Mula area of Kalat district.  Head constable of Kalat police, Lal Muhammad, said that explosives had been fitted outside the wall of the NADRA office in Babu Mula near the deputy commissioner’s office, Kalat, which went off, injuring two passersby and badly damaging the NADRA office.Frontier Crops and police rushed to the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where they were identified as Muhammad Hanif and Zubair Ahmed. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.Meanwhile, unidentified armed men fired two rockets in the Soman area of Barkan, targeting a team of the workers who were busy exploring oil and gas. Sources said the rockets missed their targets and landed in deserted areas, causing no loss of life and damage to property.
