TOBA TEK SINGH - DCO Syed Javed Iqbal has taken serious notice of the occupation of state land of 22 government schools in the district and has ordered an operation against the land grabbers to get the state land vacated from the mafia.

Assistant Commissioner Zameer Hussain told the media here that a survey conducted across the district detected that the grabbed land was being used by the land mafia for keeping their animals and other purposes. He claimed that the occupied land of Eidgah locality Government Islamia Secondary School worth millions of rupees had been retrieved from the grabbers recently.

Meanwhile, the Pirmahal Police got vacated from staff a utility store and locked it.

According to the Pirmahal Police, the property owner Muhammad Saleem submitted an application to the police in which he produced agreement signed between the Utility stores management and the complainant. He said under the rent agreement its period had expired.

The police allowed the Utility store staff to go out and then locked the premises.
