Islamabad - Islamabad police officials have been directed to specify two hours on daily basis for listening to public complaints and enhance meaningful coordination with general public.

These directions were made by Inspector General of Police Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan who said that every police official would mention the hours about his availability at the notice board of each police station, police said yesterday. He further suggested that DSPs should be available from 1200 hours to 1400 hours at their offices and station house officer of each police station from 1600 hours to 1800 hours. In case of any emergent situation, he said that these timings may be modified.

The IGP also asked the SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani to observe the compliance of his directions. Tahir Alam Khan has said this step would help enhance meaningful cooperation between ICT police and general public. He said that all his officers should remain available in these timing to redress public complaints.
