ISLAMABAD - Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan yesterday wrote a letter to Canadian High Commission in Pakistan raising concerns over the deportation of a Pakistani to the country without following proper channel.

In the letter, Nisar said that to deport a Pakistani on the travelling documents issued by a country other than Pakistan's government was not only illegal but a violation of international laws and human rights.

A spokesman of the Ministry of Interior quoting the letter said that Pakistan in future would neither accept any deportee from Canada nor the officials accompanying him would be allowed to pass through the immigration process. The deportation process would be completed only after the Pakistan mission abroad would issue travelling documents after verification of his/her citizenship from Nadra and the ministry, he said.
