KASUR

The Punjab Chief Minister recent visit to Kasur DHQ Hospital cost the citizens dear as they are now facing wrath of the hospital administration.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in his recent visit to the DHQ Hospital suspended MS Dr Rana Shafiq on corruption charges and posted Dr Muzaffar Iqbal as the new MS which has multiplied the grievances of the locals.

Long queues can be witnessed to get Rs5 ticket for medical check-up and people have to wait for long hours and when finally manage to reach to doctors they have to face empty chairs and empty rooms.

Even the emergency department is working sans doctors, following in the footsteps of the seniors nurses and paramedical staff is least bothered to fulfil their duty requirements. All this is happening under the nose of present MS Dr Muzaffar Iqbal. Precious and expensive machinery is getting rusty for being non-operational or lack of required material and patients are compelled to visit private clinics and laboratories which are looting the innocent citizens with both hands.

The contractor of parking stand in connivance with the MS is overcharging on his own will and there is no one to interfere or stop this “dirty practice”.

Newly-elected UC Chairman Mehr Mohammad Latif, Sardar Liaquat Hakim Dogar, councillors Imran Zeb, Zulfiqar Kamboh and other members of the civil and religious organisations appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister, the Health Department high officials to take notice of the situation in order to provide best healthcare facilities to the people of the area.
