Islamabad- Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad says, the present government has taken strict stance against terrorism. It is committed to make Pakistan a cradle of peace.

Responding to the points of Leader of Opposition Khurshid Shah in the National Assembly today, he said it is the vision of our government to restore peace and maintain law and order situation in order to put the country on the path of sustainable development.

Sheikh Aftab reminded that the PML (N) after assuming the office took categorical decisions, to revive peace in Karachi and Sindh. Restoring peace in the economic hub of Pakistan is our foremost priority.

Expressing grief and sorrow over the Shikarpur tragedy, the Minister of State said the relevant ministers will take the house into confidence on the incident. Sheikh Aftab said the government will complete its mandated term and overcome all the challenges, including terrorism and energy.

Earlier in his remarks, the Leader of Opposition was critical of the government for not taking the house into confidence on Shikarpur incident. The house offered Fateha over the death of spouse of MNA Hafiz Abdul Kareem.

Earlier, National Assembly resumed its session in Islamabad on Tuesday with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in the chair.
