Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar says another promise by party chief Altaf Hussain has been fulfilled with the tabling of the 20th constitutional amendment bill in parliament for the creation of new provinces. Addressing a conference at the National Press Club, the MQM leader said the creation of new provinces for administrative purpose has become the need of the hour. He said the bill would pave the way for the creation of Hazara and South Punjab provinces. He said the MQM became the first party to include the demand for more provinces in its manifesto, adding that the bill submitted in the secretariat bore the signatures of 25 MQM legislators.
