KARACHI - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, using the social media, has criticised former military ruler Pervez Musharraf for avoiding to appear before the special court in the high treason case.

Young chief of the PPP, who is active on the social media, remarked he could not believe this commander of the armed forces of the country ever wore the uniform of Pakistan’s brave army.

The comments and opinion of the young PPP chief spread a war of words between his and Musharraf’s followers on the social media. The media reports stated that former army chief Pervez Musharraf was scheduled to appear before the special court, but on his way in the security convoy, he complained of pain in his heart, so he was taken to the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology in Rawalpindi.

Following his admission to the hospital on medial grounds, instead of appearing in the special court, the PPP chief criticised the former military dictator on his twitter profile, “I can’t believe this coward ever wore the uniform of our brave and courageous armed forces.” He further said, “All medical excuses must be verified by an independent board of doctors. I am sure he is trying to avoid the treason case”.

In another tweet, PPP’s young chief said, “Musharraf should face the court and, political difference aside, he deserves a fair trial not media trail,” adding the trial was a test for democracy and judiciary.

The PPP chief, while tagging the picture of his father, former President Asif Ali Zardari in a police van while appearing in a court, said that Zardari always smiled and had a hope for victory; he neither bowed nor did he flee.
